Sadie St. Lawrence
Sadie founded Women in Data because she believes when we bring diverse minds together and use critical reasoning through data, we can make the world a better place. Sadie holds an MS in Analytics from Villanova University and BA in Psychology from California State University. In the day, Sadie works as the lead data scientist for VSP Global. When she’s not crunching numbers, you can find her outdoors, studying music, or practicing Ashtanga yoga.
Sheenal is the Special Events Coordinator for Women in Data. She graduated from California State University, Sacramento with a BA in Communications. Sheenal loves to help people and is a firm believer that we grow when we continue to learn. At Women in Data, she gets to help people, while giving them the opportunity to advance and learn in the data and analytics field.
Amy da Silva
Amy joined Women in Data because of her passion for people and diversity in the workplace. Seeing an individual’s potential, making connections, and empowering others to live their most authentic lives, is what lights her up and inspires her every day. When she’s not engaging with Women in Data, Amy works for VSP Vision Care as a Sr. Communications Specialist, and is also an Event Designer at Alluring Events, here in Sacramento. Amy received her degree in Journalism from CSUS, and also dabbled in Culinary Arts at American River College.
Simi is the Director of Partner Relations for Women in Data. She recently graduated with her Master’s of Science degree in Data Science from University of the Pacific and joined Women in Data to engage and educate the community about the field of data science. Simi also works as a Developer Advocate for Hedera Hashgraph, who believe in a more trusted, safe, and equitable online world.
Avolyn is the Program Development Manager for Women in Data and leads our partnership with Girl Scouts. Avolyn holds a BSBA from Drake University in Finance and Marketing and is currently working towards her Master of Science in Analytics from Villanova University. Avolyn is hard at work partnering with strategic partners who want to help with our mission to spread data literacy. Avolyn is passionate about the potential for data to change the world, specifically in the study of how data is being used to counter terrorism efforts, combat human trafficking, and reduce homelessness.
Alissa is the Operations Coordinator for Women in Data. She holds a BS in Applied Mathematics from San Francisco State University, and helps keep the Women in Data ship running smoothly on a day to day basis. Alissa is jazzed about getting young women interested in tech, and specifically data, and aims to be an advocate for women already in the field.
Kriti is the Partner Relations Coordinator and San Francisco Chapter Lead for Women in Data. Outside of Women in Data, Kriti works for Analytics and Business Intelligence at Sutter Health Information System. She received her degree in Economics from University of Nevada, Reno and has taken analytics courses from UC Berkeley. Kriti is passionate about technology, specifically, how we can utilize technology to improve people's lives. She enjoys using data for strategic insights and driving change. Kriti hopes to embody the creative, diverse, and technology driven culture in San Francisco to create a community where people can share knowledge and empower each other to make an impact. Outside of her daily routine, Kriti enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Oppie.
