Our Impact

Women in Data was established in 2015 in Sacramento, CA. Our goal was to bring women together within the data community and empower them to chase their dreams in the pursuit of data. Since then we've grown to multiple locations with interest across the United States and the world. Our goal is to empower women and girls everywhere to consider studying the field of data analytics and data science.

35+

events held across u.s.

Each month we work to bring valuable data content and programming to Women in Data communities.

1000+

attendees

We have seen tremendous growth in the attendance at our events, supporting the need for spreading awareness around women in the field of data.

1250+

data enthusiasts

Our communities are full of people passionate about data who want to connect with others and make an impact.

We achieve our mission through our three pillars:

Awareness

Education

Advancement

awareness

We believe awareness is the first step to understanding the possibilities of data science and analytics, and each individual should have the opportunity to develop their own path using these tools.

advancement

We believe in playing a fundamental role by helping our members find the right opportunity based on their education and skill-set in data science and analytics.

education

We believe that education in this new field empowers the development in critical thinking by laying the foundation for meaningful change.

If you have a data story, a skill-set, or a topic you are passionate to share with us, we want to hear from you. If it aligns with our programming goals we will plug you in to one of our events.

start a new wid chapter

We recognize that data is becoming vital no matter where you live or work, for that reason we hope to grow Women in Data across the U.S. and eventually internationally.
